I am a Chennai-based journalist with over 15 years of experience in print, digital and television media. I started my career as a freelancer and discovered that I loved writing so much that I became a full-time journalist. Though I have covered news, I discovered my passion lies in the area of entertainment and lifestyle.

I have covered the entertainment (focus on South Indian cinema) and lifestyle segments in India for over a decade now. As a film critic, I discovered the immense talent in the South Indian film industry which has now spilled over successfully into the Hindi film industry.

It's important to tell the stories of people -irrespective of what profession they may be in - to give us a better understanding of people and world and help us evolve as a society. And that is what I am attempting to do every single day!

On the personal front, I am a breast cancer survivor and try to create as much awareness as I can about the disease. I love dogs and wish I had at least 10! My prana is travel and that's what keeps me motivated and makes me feel alive.
